Creating a website on WordPress is not that difficult task. However, if you are new to WordPress, then it can be difficult to handle small tasks. As WordPress is an open-source platform, you can find lots of guides and tutorials to make necessary changes. If you want to copy a page in WordPress or want to clone it, then there are multiple ways to do so.

It is highly recommended to understand all the important steps that you will have to take when about to copy a page in WordPress. Here, we will be discussing multiple ways to copy a page in WordPress. Let’s have a look at how you can do so easily.

Copy a Page in WordPress using a plugin

The first and easy way to copy a page in WordPress is by using a third-party plugin. The plugin we are using is ‘Duplicate Post Plugin’. This plugin will make it easier for you to copy and paste posts or pages including every setting.

First of all, you will have to navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New. Here, you will have to install and activate the plugin named Duplicate Post Plugin.

Installing duplicate post plugin

After installing and activating the plugin, you will be able to use it to duplicate any post and page in your WordPress website.

You will have to navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Duplicate Post. Here, you will be able to see complete settings of the plugin.

Duplicate post plugin settings

Here, you can see complete settings of the plugin and you will be able to see the options including title, date, comments, and featured image. You can check the list items that you wish to clone. Once you have checked all the required boxes, you can save settings and move on to the next step.

You will have to check permission settings as well. Make sure that you are giving permissions to the editors who mostly work with the content of your website.

Once you have saved the settings for permissions and display, you will have to navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Posts/Pages > clone or new draft.

Copy a Page or Post in WordPress Gutenberg editor

If you are using WordPress Gutenberg editor, then it already has a default option to copy a page in WordPress. You can just click the option named, ‘Copy to a new draft’, and the page you are editing will be cloned.
